St Gallen-Altenrhein Airport (ACH) Switzerland
Reflex-Rol (UK) supplied and installed bespoke anti-glare roller blinds for the air traffic control tower at St Gallen–Altenrhein Airport, Switzerland, where mountainous surroundings and low-angle sun create demanding visual conditions. The project required precise glare management while preserving uninterrupted visibility over runways, apron, and Lake Constance approaches. Each blind was custom-engineered to suit inclined, trapezoidal glazing and specified for smooth, reliable operation in varying seasonal light. The Reflex-Rol system reduces solar gain, improves thermal comfort, and minimises visual fatigue for controllers. This tailored solution supports safe, efficient decision-making and consistent performance within a safety-critical aviation environment throughout the year round.
