Reflex-Rol (UK) supplied and installed bespoke anti-glare roller blinds for the air traffic control tower at Aberdeen Airport, where low-angle sun, reflective cloud cover, and long daylight hours create challenging visual conditions. The project required precise glare control while maintaining clear, uninterrupted visibility across runways and apron areas. Each blind was custom-engineered to suit the tower’s inclined and trapezoidal glazing and specified for reliable performance in variable weather conditions. The Reflex-Rol solution reduces solar gain, improves thermal comfort, and minimises visual distraction, supporting safe, efficient air traffic operations within this safety-critical, high-reliability aviation environment.
