Reflex-Rol (UK) delivered bespoke anti-glare roller blinds for the air traffic control tower at RAF Leeming, a fast-jet military airfield requiring uncompromising visibility and reliability. The project addressed glare from low-angle sun and reflective surfaces during high-tempo operations, without restricting outward vision. Each blind was custom-manufactured to suit the tower’s inclined, non-standard glazing and specified with robust aluminium components for long-term durability. The system reduces solar gain, stabilises internal conditions, and minimises visual distraction for controllers. This tailored installation supports safe, precise decision-making and continuous operations within a mission-critical defence environment subject to stringent performance and security requirements standards compliance.
