Tete Airport (TET) Mozambique

Reflex-Rol (UK) provided bespoke anti-glare roller blinds for the air traffic control tower at Tete Airport, Mozambique, where high solar intensity, dust, and heat place heavy demands on equipment and staff. The project focused on maintaining uninterrupted runway and apron visibility during long daylight hours while reducing glare from low-angle sun. Each blind was engineered for the tower’s inclined, trapezoidal glazing and specified with robust aluminium components suited to harsh conditions. The installation reduces solar gain, stabilises internal temperatures, and limits visual fatigue, enabling controllers to operate accurately and safely in this operationally demanding, mission-critical aviation environment every single day.
